I/O Modules for DC-Manager™ Systems
Suitable I/O modules for din rail mounting, based on the current NAMUR standard, are available for all sensor-actuator interfaces for the connection of sensors, actuating elements and devices to the DC-Manager™ ASs.
The range of interfaces also includes, in addition to the standard sensor-actuator interfaces for temperature, pressure, flow rate, valves, pumps etc. various serial interfaces via COM server.
CPU Module
The CPU module is the HiBus™ master for the internal and external interface modules. The raw interface values are derived in this module by averaging, linearisation and scaling.
The limit value monitoring, control, regulation and technical communications- related functions continue to be derived.

I/O Modules for Analogue In-/Output
Voltage and Current Inputs with Feed
The I/O module for analogue input is designed to record voltages of -10 to +10 V and current signals of 0/4 to 20 mA. Laboratory apparatus, such as thermostats, mixers or measuring sensors, can be connected to the four potential-free and EMC robust inputs.
Sensors with two and four-wire connections may be connected directly to a module, in other words without any external current supply.
Thus, the connection only requires a few seconds, as there is no need for switching to a current supply source.

Digital Outputs
The digital output module is required for switching valves, reflux separators, heaters, contactors etc. directly via the DC-Manager™.
The pulse-width modulated output allows quasi-continuous direct control of heaters, motorized control valves, etc.. Thus, there is no necessity for expensive additional control electronics.
The pulse area modulation is an extended form of pulse frequency modulation (XPFM) which minimises the pulse amount and consequently prevents damage to the actuator (e.g. a solenoid or reflux separator).

Bus Coupling Modules
To increase the number of I/O modules or distribute the inputs/outputs to different points of a control cabinet or several cabinets, the DC-Manager™ can be extended by substations (sub groups). Bus coupling units are available for this purpose.
The user-defined addressing of the I/O modules allows individual modules to be removed or inserted at any position in the group, even during operation, without having to change the configuration.
Up to 15 I/O modules can be used per group. Several strings can be combined via bus coupling units.

DC-BCUO | I/O module bus coupler outputs for DC-Manager™ |
HiBus™ Bus Coupler Input
Bus coupler input module for the connection of a sub-station (group) to a DC-Manager™ by HiBus™.
The bus couple input module is monitored by a hardware watchdog circuit and brings the system in disorders in a safe state, e.g. by cutting off the supply to the connected peripherals. In addition, every I / O module automatically applies appropriate security measures in the event of a fault.
Each bus coupling module uses its own activation voltages for the subordinate I/O modules, making it independent of the main segment.
The DC-Manager™ requires a DC-BCUO connection module and a DC-BCUI plug-in module for the substation.
