LabKit™-rcf is a reaction calorimeter with sophisticated equipment for heat flow calorimetry. The automatic laboratory process plant is suitable, among other things, for syntheses in the temperature range from -40 to +200 °C. The system is expandable with the additional modules and components which are offered.
A double-walled 2 litre reaction vessel is used as the standard vessel.
Other vessels are possible.
The reaction vessel is temperature-controlled using a powerful heating/cooling thermostat, enabling fast temperature control for an isothermic mode of operation.

When distilling with reflux separators, the reflux separation ratio may be adjusted via an electrically controllable reflux separator.
The heat flow method is based on the measurement of the temperature difference between the reactor contents and medium in the vessel jacket.
The heat transition coefficient cannot be theoretically calculated. Since it can vary significantly during the course of a reaction (e.g. as a result of a change in the viscosity, the specific heat of the reaction mixture or due to boundary layer formation), it is determined by calibration with a defined heat output before and after the reaction.
