Bus Coupler Module: DC-BCUI

DC-BCUI – Bus coupler module for DC Manager substations

The DC-BCUI is a dual module consisting of a bus coupler and a watchdog CPU. It connects a substation via HiBus™ to the DC-BCUO bus decoupler module of a higher-level DC-Manager™ or LabManager.

The watchdog CPU continuously monitors CPU function, external activation power supplies, and ambient temperature. It activates the activation power supplies and, in the event of a fault, automatically performs a load shedding operation to bring connected outputs to a safe state.

This architecture offers high operational reliability through redundancy:
Both the higher-level system and the watchdog CPU can independently switch off the activated outputs as soon as a fault is detected.

The DC-BCUI module is used as a coupling assembly for another substation, making it ideal for the modular and flexible expansion of your laboratory and process systems.

Your advantages:

  • High redundancy
  • Automatic safety shut-off
  • Monitored switching power supplies
  • Secure HiBus connection

Typical applications:

  • Modular substations
  • Process reliability
  • Laboratory and pilot plants
